As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for managing complex capital projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and within-scope delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop project scope, objectives, and timelines, involving relevant departments and personnel to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Capital Project Execution: Manage multiple complex capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet project scope.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal resources, vendors, and contractors for seamless project execution.
  • Project Planning and Budgeting: Prepare capital packages, including supporting documents, correspondences, comparisons, and cost-saving analysis.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for contractors and service providers, maintaining compliance with plant Health & Safety policies.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize project management methodology for plant operating improvements, leveraging AutoCAD files for plant equipment, power distribution, and projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Manager, Maintenance and Engineering, to develop operating plans and budgets, capital projects, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering, or automation.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in managing engineering capital projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, assigning tasks, and budgeting. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCad, and Microsoft Project.
  • Travel: Occasional travel (20%) within North America may be required.
