Senior Software Developer, DevEx Acceleration Specialist

About the Role and Team
As a key member of the Score Media and Gaming Inc. team, you will collaborate with a talented group of Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to deliver exceptional software applications. The DevEx Acceleration team is focused on enhancing the local development experience, reducing time-to-first-commit, and improving the overall developer experience.
About the Work
As a Senior Software Developer on the DevEx Acceleration team, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and iterating on the local development experience, with a focus on backend applications.
- Creating elegant command-line interfaces (CLIs) and internal tools for developers.
- Working with developers across the organization to identify pain points and provide solutions that enhance the developer experience.
- Exploring new technologies to simplify backend application development.
- Participating in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative agile/scrum environment.
- Contributing to the development of the internal style guide, maintainability documentation, and best practices.
- Providing mentorship to junior and intermediate developers.
About You
- You possess a solid background in computer science, with experience across backend, frontend, and DevOps.
- You are prepared to take on a technical leadership role on the team, requiring an ownership mentality and strong coding skills.
- You are passionate about software craftsmanship and building developer tools.
- You pay close attention to details and think deeply about systems.
- You are a curious person who enjoys deep diving into library internals.
- You stay up-to-date with technology and share your knowledge with teammates.
- You are an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
