Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cashier to join our team at India Bazaar. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cash registers and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and allocate tasks to sales staff to ensure efficient operation of the sales floor.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop sales staff to meet the needs of our customers and drive sales growth.
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Process returns and exchanges in a fair and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
  • Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service and promote sales of our products.
  • Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee and coordinate the activities of sales staff to ensure efficient operation of the sales floor.
  • Manage Cash: Handle cash transactions, manage cash handling procedures, and maintain accurate records.
  • Train Staff: Provide ongoing training and development to sales staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a sales or retail environment.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work 30 hours per week.
