About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Brar Meat Shop. As a key member of our retail meat processing team, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting high-quality meats for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing and cutting
  • Cut and trim carcasses, sides, and quarters to meet customer specifications
  • Prepare standard cuts of meat, including wrapping and packaging
  • Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts and price meat products
  • Clean and prepare fish and shellfish for sale
  • Sell meats to customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Operate band saws and manual cutting utensils to efficiently process meats
  • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers as needed
  • Train new team members on meat cutting and processing procedures
  • Prepare special orders and displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail meat cutting or processing environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy meat products
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
