We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Brar Meat Shop. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meat products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Cutting and preparing meat products to meet customer specifications
- Operating band saws and manual cutting utensils to cut meat
- Wrapping and packaging prepared meats
- Removing bones from meat
- Weighing meats for sale
- Cutting poultry into parts
- Price meat products
- Cleaning and preparing fish and shellfish
- Selling meats to customers
- Supervising other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
- Grinding meats
- Training meat cutters
- Preparing special orders
- Preparing special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
- Shaping, lacing, and tying roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a meat cutting or processing environment
- Permanent employment
- English language proficiency
- 40 hours per week
The work environment is physically demanding and requires attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have hand-eye coordination and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
