We are seeking a skilled Retail Meat Cutter to join our team at Brar Meat Shop. As a Retail Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for sale to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Cutting and preparing meats to customer specifications
- Wrapping and packaging meats for sale
- Removing bones from meat
- Weighing meats for sale
- Cutting poultry into parts
- Price meat products
- Cleaning and preparing fish and shellfish
- Selling meats to customers
- Cutting fish into steaks and fillets
- Supervising other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers
- Grinding meats
- Training meat cutters
- Preparing special orders
- Preparing special displays of meats, poultry and fish products
- Shaping, lacing and tying roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a meat cutting or processing environment
- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically demanding work environment
- Hand-eye co-ordination and ability to lift heavy objects
- 40 hours per week
- Permanent work term
- English language required
