Distribution Center Manager Job Description

The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our distribution center, ensuring that all inventory is accurately managed and that products are shipped on time. This role requires exceptional organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement processes for receiving, storing, and shipping inventory, ensuring that all products are accurately tracked and accounted for.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Establish strong relationships with logistics professionals and members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of inventory movements.
  • Warehouse Operations: Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse, including the management of inventory, equipment, and personnel.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and ensure that all products meet quality standards, and that any discrepancies are reported and addressed promptly.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in inventory management and supply chain logistics.
  • Skills: Proficiency in distribution center management software systems, ability to lift heavy objects, and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics or business administration.
