Distribution Center Manager Job Description

The Distribution Center Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center, overseeing all aspects of inventory management, logistics, and documentation. This position requires exceptional organizational, time management, and strategic planning skills to achieve timely and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory control processes to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Logistics and Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all inventory movements, including receipts, shipments, and storage.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational goals and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure accurate and efficient processing of inventory.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all necessary equipment is in good working order, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in inventory management, logistics, and team leadership.
  • Skills: Proficiency in distribution center management software systems, ability to lift heavy objects, and strong communication and partnership skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as supply chain management or business administration.
