Job Summary:
Sunbelt Rentals of Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Regional Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to support our growth in Southern Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all safety and health activities of the region and assigned business growth within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement effective safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and safety goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry partners to stay informed on best practices and emerging trends.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure business continuity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in safety and environmental management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in safety and environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid passport and Ontario driver's license.
