About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to facilitate, restore, and maintain optimal levels of function in areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their families.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to prioritize issues, manage a busy caseload, and make clinical decisions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and contribute to the clinical education of students and related health disciplines.
  • Adhere to Nova Scotia Health policies and procedures, as well as professional standards of the Nova Scotia College of Occupational Therapists.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Masters or Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The hourly rate is $33.97 - $42.89, and successful candidates may be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance.

Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
