Collection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Collection Specialist to join our team at Belron Canada. As a key member of our Customer Accounts-Insurance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely recovery of insurance customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recover insurance customer accounts in accordance with established procedures and internal control rules;
- Analyze accounts according to payment terms and initiate recovery procedures within the required time frame;
- Perform analysis and reconciliation of customer accounts;
- Keep recovery comments up to date in the computer system;
- Collaborate with sales teams to resolve overdue accounts;
- Make adjustments and journal entries to accounts receivable as needed;
- Provide exceptional customer service through phone and email communication;
- Participate in process improvement projects to enhance our collection processes.
Requirements:
- DEC in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration;
- Three to five years of collection experience;
- Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken;
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel;
- Results-driven with a focus on customer satisfaction;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Professional ethics and a commitment to integrity;
- Initiative, rigor, and autonomy in work approach;
- Flexibility in working hours, including potential teleworking arrangements.
