We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Day Care Service Coordinator to join our team at the Commission scolaire Central Québec / Central Québec School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a program of activities for the day care service, ensuring the overall development of students, and managing the day-to-day operations of the service.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation
- Develop a program of activities for the day care service that aligns with the educational project of the school
- Ensure the program is implemented and evaluated regularly
- Student Supervision and Support
- Supervise and support students to ensure their overall development and well-being
- Monitor and report on student attendance and behavior
- Operational Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the day care service, including financial, human, and material resources
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the day care service
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administration, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the day care service
- Education
- Hold a Diploma of College Studies in Early Childhood Education or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority
- Language Skills
- Excellent knowledge of oral and written English
- Good knowledge of oral and written French would be an asset
- Certifications
- Hold a certificate dated no more than three (3) years attesting to the successful completion of a standard first aid course of a minimum eight (8)-hour duration
- Hold a certificate dated no more than three (3) years attesting to the successful completion of a refresher course of a minimum six (6)-hour duration updating the skills acquired in the course mentioned in paragraph 1
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
