Job Title: Clinical Coordinator, Community Mental Health

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Coordinator to join our Mental Health and Substance Use team at Fraser Health. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the team, ensuring optimal use of resources and efficient use of clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the team, including establishing client priorities, assigning and adjusting work assignments, and ensuring that necessary resources are available.
  • Supervise designated clinical staff, including participating in performance evaluation, assisting in planning staff training and development, and developing and implementing in-services and education programs.
  • Provide clinical consultation, role modeling, instruction, and coaching to staff to assist in resolving complex clinical issues.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement processes, including engaging in program evaluation, identifying opportunities for change, and assessing available resources.
  • Participate in risk management for the clinical area, including conducting safety audits, investigating and reviewing related reports, and taking corrective action.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health-related discipline.
  • Four years of recent related experience, including two years of staff supervisory experience, as well as clinical experience in individual, family, and group modalities of practice in mental health/psychiatry in community and/or hospital settings.
  • Eligible for registration with relevant professional association.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's license and access to personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
