About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Administrator to join our team at J & G Forwarding. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a motivated and organized individual who can provide administrative support to our operations department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement new administrative procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Review and evaluate existing administrative procedures to identify areas for improvement
  • Delegate tasks to office support staff as needed
  • Establish work priorities and ensure that procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Carry out administrative activities related to establishment operations
  • Coordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services
  • Assist in the preparation of the operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence
  • Perform data entry duties
  • Train staff on new procedures and protocols
  • Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures
  • Resolve conflict situations in a fair and timely manner
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of administrative procedures
  • Oversee payroll administration and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures for the operations department
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required; post-secondary education preferred
  • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic data entry skills
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 35 to 40 hours per week and have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage.
