Job Title: Executive Chef

Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Develop and implement new recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food preparation and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals for special events and functions.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to food safety and handling protocols.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
