Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Develop and implement new recipes to enhance our menu offerings and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional service and maintain high food quality standards.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets and weddings.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and equipped to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances to ensure their safety and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with our events team to develop customized menus and ensure that our culinary services meet the needs of our guests.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Dependability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment
