About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Clerk to join our team at Alligator Freight Services. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including sales tax returns and other relevant tax filings.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 7 Months to Less than 1 Year of Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a financial or accounting role is required.
  • On-Site Work: This is an on-site position, and the successful candidate must be able to work from our office location.
  • Attention to Detail: The successful candidate must have excellent attention to detail and be able to maintain accurate and detailed financial records.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Client Focus: The successful candidate must have excellent client focus and be able to provide excellent customer service.
