Accounting Clerk Job Overview

The role of the Accounting Clerk is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle various accounting tasks efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College or CEGEP program.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the general ledger.
  • Process journal entries accurately.
  • Oversee accounts receivable functions.
  • Analyze customer behavior regarding deposits, withdrawals, and spending patterns.
  • Generate and send invoices to clients.
  • Conduct financial calculations including budgeting and costing.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as maintaining filing and record systems.
  • Handle general office responsibilities.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Compile and prepare financial reports.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Sage Accounting Software.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Experience with SAP modules (FI/CO/HR/MM/OT SD).
Work Environment
