Job Description

Citi is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineering Group Manager to lead our cloud transformation strategy. As a key member of our Data, Digital and Innovation group, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of cloud technologies across Securities Services to ensure we deliver our services on stable and scalable infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud platforms, data warehousing, and distributed data architectures. They will be responsible for establishing and leading an elite engineering unit focused on building core components to support our businesses' data and analytics capabilities. This includes developing cloud data strategy, data pipelines, and ingestion frameworks, as well as creating technology solutions to accelerate public cloud adoption.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in applications development, cloud (AWS or Google), and big data. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead an elite engineering unit focused on building core components to support our businesses' data and analytics capabilities.
  • Develop cloud data strategy, data pipelines, and ingestion frameworks to support a diverse set of application and analytical use cases.
  • Create technology solutions to accelerate public cloud adoption and harness associated emerging technologies.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards.
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals.
  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence across the Enterprise.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in applications development, cloud (AWS or Google), and big data.
  • Experience in leading global technology teams and driving software delivery transformation through Agile practice and process.
  • Deep expertise as a hands-on technical leader working on complex systems in a large organization.
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
