Job Summary

The Software Engineering Group Manager is a senior management position responsible for leading a team of software engineers and developers. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving applications systems analysis and programming activities, managing stakeholders, and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of software engineers and developers.
  • Manage stakeholders and partners to develop roadmaps, releases, and milestones.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide thought leadership and drive efficiencies across the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead agile best practices and drive change management.
  • Improve communication and collaboration among teams.
  • Ensure adherence to IT risk and controls, as well as best engineering practices.
  • Provide superior customer service and support.
  • Set high standards for the team and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on web applications, enterprise integration, and data analytics.
  • Deep expertise in building web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React, and Oracle/PostgreSQL technology stack.
  • Expertise in enterprise integrations through RESTful APIs, Kafka messaging, and other technologies.
  • Expertise in designing and optimizing software solutions for performance and stability.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Expertise in site reliability engineering.
  • Expertise in Test Driven Development.
  • Expertise in Authentication, Authorization, and Security.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud and experience with migrating applications, services, and data to AWS.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
