Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and caring Children's Program Specialist to join our team at Children First: Community Child Care Network Society.

About the Role: As a key member of our child care team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. Your role will involve leading activities, telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children on outings to local points of interest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement high-quality child-care programs that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Child Development and Support: Foster a nurturing environment that encourages children to express their creativity through various forms of art, music, and physical activity.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Establish strong relationships with colleagues, families, and community service providers to ensure seamless support for children.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of children's progress and participate in staff meetings to discuss program effectiveness.
  • Certifications and Training: Possess current certifications in first aid, CPR, and early childhood education, as well as a deep understanding of licensing regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in a child care setting, preferably in a lead or assistant educator role.
  • Certifications: Current certification in Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR, as well as knowledge of licensing regulations.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and patient approach to working with children and families.

Compensation and Benefits: The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health and dental coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
