Executive Director Opportunity

Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in delivering justice services to NAN communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advocate for justice services and build relationships with partners, stakeholders, and Chiefs of Nishnawbe-Aski Nation.
  • Oversee the operations of NALSC and support the Board of Directors in achieving the organization's Vision and Mandate.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in law, business administration, finance, human resources, or related fields.
  • Education and/or equivalent experience in the Ontario Legal system.
  • Familiarity with the geographical area of Nishnawbe-Aski Legal communities.
  • Experience with the Euro-Canadian Legal system and knowledge of indigenous justice systems.
  • Ability to speak Ojibway, Oji-Cree, or Cree is an asset.
What We Offer:
  • 6% pension matching.
  • Full-time position (35 hours per week).
