We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Healthcare Aide to join our team at Carewest. As a valued member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our clients.

About the Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for observing, monitoring, and reporting on client status, including changes in physical and emotional status. You will work closely with our Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to ensure that client needs are met. This includes delivering prescribed medications accurately, maintaining professional and ethical standards, and performing other related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe and monitor client status, reporting changes to RNs and LPNs.
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately, adhering to policy and procedure.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Graduation from Grade 12 and completion of an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Physical capability to manage frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory.
  • Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset.

Salary and Benefits:
