Deli Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Deli team as a Deli Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment and provide exceptional customer service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a safe and efficient operation, adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform all aspects of Deli Clerk functions, including stocking, displays, and facing in an efficient and organized manner, ensuring display presentation and stock levels are maintained.
- Handle merchandise, ensuring quality, minimizing damages, and markdowns, and provide substitutions and ensure price integrity, including price changes.
- Perform general clean-up duties, such as cleaning spills and display fixtures, to ensure a neat and organized department, and responsible for keeping the sales floor and back stock area clean from cardboard and debris, as well as disposal of garbage.
- Grade 9 or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Previous retail or related experience.
- Must be fluent in English (CLBA-Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score of 5 or higher).
- Deli product knowledge and experience.
- Basic Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
