They ensure the store is always ready with available products that meet customer needs. Our Clerks inspire our customers through delightful conversation and knowledge of products.
What you'll do
- Provide great customer service by ensuring the store shelves are stocked and responding to customer needs.
- Maintain and stock product displays and shelves that meet company standards.
- Ensure accurate product scanning and identify inventory needs, assisting with ordering.
- Setup company-directed promotions and programs.
- Keep department areas neat and ensure health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, make product recommendations, and answer questions.
- Prepare food for customers, including slicing deli meats and cheeses, making sandwiches, and pricing and packaging items.
- Learns about new deli items and menu options quickly.
- Unload daily deliveries and ensure the deli display cases are organized and fully stocked with fresh food.
- Use portion scales, handheld printers, and point-of-sale systems to price items and complete transactions.
- Operate all deli equipment according to safety guidelines.
- Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces, including meat and cheese slicers, deli display cases, and utensils.
- Follow written and verbal instructions from managers.
- Adhere to federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
