Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Web Design Specialist to join our team at AutoTrader. This is a unique opportunity to design and create engaging artwork for our websites, as well as develop innovative solutions to improve user experience.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $70,000-$100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including 3% CPP matching, annual bonus structure, and financial planning tools.

Responsibilities
Design and Create Engaging Artwork: As a Web Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality artwork for our websites, including static and animated banner ads. You will work closely with developers to ensure that your designs are executable and provide design feedback as part of the QA process.

Improve User Experience: You will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to improve user experience and results. This may involve analyzing user behavior and feedback, as well as conducting research to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: As a member of our team, you will collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects and meet tight deadlines.

Maintain Current Knowledge: You will be expected to maintain current knowledge of web design technologies and trends, as well as adhere to all technical, branding, and web content accessibility guidelines.

Requirements
Education and Experience: A Graphic Design diploma or Bachelor's degree/community college diploma, or equivalent work experience is required. Strong design skills, including typography, layout, color, user interface & navigation, are essential. Proficiency in Adobe CS, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, and InVision is also necessary.

Skills and Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to design for cross-platform compatibility. Familiarity with CMS such as WordPress is a plus.
