Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

At Scotts Miracle-Gro, we're looking for a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team. As a key partner to our operating units, you'll support our drive for profitable growth by leading a team of FP&A Analysts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Annual Budget and Monthly Financial Forecast Processes: Direct the process and tools to develop the full P&L for budget and monthly forecasts, ensuring all corporate deadlines are met.
  • Lead and complete Analyses to support the profitable growth of the business: Develop tools and processes for the business to understand key financial metrics and trends, providing analysis and recommendations for all new business opportunities.
  • Oversee Pricing Functions: Support the Pricing and Margin Analyst in managing the PriceFX tool, ensuring SAP pricing is loaded annually and any ad hoc changes throughout the year are complete.
  • Manage General Accounting Functions: Ensure all corporate policies and processes are followed, ensuring account reconciliations are completed as required.
  • Develop and maximize performance of team members: Promote a process improvement mindset, ensuring the team seeks out ways to perform in the most efficient way possible.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Required: CPA Designated
  • 7 - 10 Years of experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Power BI, SAP, and BPC (preferred)
  • Experience working with large amounts of data and turning it into meaningful analysis
  • Experience leading a team preferred
  • High degree of accuracy in financial statement preparation and month-end processing is a must
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and identify areas that require focus is critical
