Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Parikar Indian Nepali Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
