Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Installation Technician to join our team at Kuntz Electroplating Inc. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands and have a strong background in mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment in our manufacturing plant. They will also assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, perform limited mechanical tests and analyses, and prepare engineering design drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install new machinery and equipment according to manufacturer's instructions and company procedures;
  • Repair and maintain existing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan;
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions;
  • Perform limited mechanical tests and analyses to diagnose problems and develop solutions;
  • Prepare engineering design drawings and specifications to support project planning and implementation;
  • Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime;
  • Test machines and equipment to verify proper functioning and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A college certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year;
  • At least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of noise and physical activity;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Salary Estimate

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
