Job Title: Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Osmows. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Initiative and ability to take on new challenges.
  • Judgement and ability to make informed decisions.
  • Organized and reliable with strong time management skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Work Environment:

Osmows is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment that requires strong communication and teamwork skills. As a Line Cook, you will be working in a kitchen environment with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff.

Language:

The primary language spoken in the kitchen is English.

Hours:

35 to 40 hours per week.
