**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Experience Coordinator to join our team at Extendicare Canada Inc. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:

The Clinical Experience Coordinator will work under the supervision of a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) preceptor to gain hands-on experience in patient care. As a member of our interprofessional team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and medication administration under the guidance of an RPN preceptor.
  • Participate in nursing interventions, such as ambulation and activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, feeding).
  • Complete documentation of care provided and maintain accurate records.
  • Practice infection control policies and use universal precautions.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • CNO registration requirements must be met except for Evidence of Practice or Evidence of Practice and Language Proficiency.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Police Vulnerable Sector Check and 2-Step TB Test required.
