We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will play a critical role in the provision of geriatric patient care and will be responsible for an administrative component, both internally to the Pharmacy Department and to individual teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced practice in the provision of geriatric patient care, functioning as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist within the Pharmacy and interdisciplinary teams.
- Serve as a professional practice leader, educator, and mentor within the Eastern Zone.
- Develop standards of practice and conduct research to improve patient care.
- Contribute to the literature and act as a clinical resource to other organizations.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with a minimum of two years of recent active, advanced clinical practice in an institutional environment.
- Eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists as an Active Practice Pharmacist.
- Advanced clinical skills, including patient assessment, drug therapy assessment, and drug information.
- Advanced communication skills, including written and verbal communication.
- Mentoring undergraduate and post-graduate students, as well as pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Advanced critical appraisal skills in review of drug literature.
- Advanced research skills for the safe and ethical conduct of clinical and epidemiologic research.
- Board Certification in Geriatric Pharmacology is an asset.
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French being preferred.
- A competitive salary of $67.95 per hour.
