Job Title: Relief Pharmacist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Relief Pharmacist to join our team at Sobeys Pharmacy Cape Breton Relief. As a Relief Pharmacist, you will provide pharmacy services and support to customers, medical practitioners, and other retail pharmacies working shifts scheduled by the Relief Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services, including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments.
  • Prioritize technical functions to Pharmacy Assistants when available.
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and document patient information.
  • Coach pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants (if applicable).
  • Collect relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Identify actual and potential drug-related problems.
  • Monitor medication adherence.
  • Provide patient counseling for new therapy and determine patients' understanding of their medication.
  • Tailor counseling to the needs and concerns of the patient, including literacy, hearing loss, and privacy.
  • Exceed customer expectations through ROLES efficiencies.
  • Acknowledge customers promptly and professionally.
  • Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion towards the customer.
  • Provide superior customer service to every customer.
  • Responsible for understanding all PROfile offerings and providing each customer with the program that meets their health needs, including Pill Pack Plus, Diabetes Care in Action, Autofill Plus, Health Inform, Kids Club, and Flavorx.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility.
  • Injection Certification.
  • Previous experience in a retail and/or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
