Design Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Technology Specialist to join our team at HOK. As a key member of our Advanced Technologies Group, you will provide expert design technology techniques and support project teams in implementing advanced design solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Expertise and Advisement: Offer technical guidance and support to project teams on the implementation of advanced design technology techniques.
- Project Feedback and Support: Provide feedback on project-based activities to the firm-wide Advanced Technologies Group team.
- Resource and Team Member: Act as a resource and team member in all phases of the project, maintaining current knowledge of design software, industry developments, and applicable techniques.
- Research and Development: Devote time to researching new and upcoming technologies, contributing to the production of project deliverables, and acting as a mentor to project team members.
- Sustainability and Green Workplace: Take personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
- Architectural Design: Utilize specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis, and/or optimization for architectural designs, such as building massing or exterior enclosures.
- Design Analysis: Provide specialized design analyses, including pedestrian/egress simulation, sustainable design analysis, or code compliance analysis.
- Interactive Visualization: Leverage specialized knowledge to develop and produce rich interactive visual experiences via various mediums, including traditional and XR technologies.
- Data Analysis: Leverage BI tools to analyze and perform exhaustive analysis of project-related data.
- Advanced Knowledge in BIM/3D Modeling: Possess advanced knowledge in building information modeling programs and applicable techniques.
- Revit Expertise: Require expertise in Revit.
- 3D Modeling and Analysis: Possess proficiency in 3D modeling and analysis software, including the ability to configure applications.
- Sustainability and Integrated Design: Have knowledge about sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
- Time Management and Communication: Be able to effectively meet deadlines and manage own time, as well as communicate and present effectively.
- Education and Experience: Possess a Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline, with 5 years' progressive experience in BIM/3D modeling.
- LEED Accreditation: Have LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
