Position Overview
We are seeking a Design Technology Specialist who will play a crucial role in applying advanced design technology methodologies to specific projects. This position involves indirect reporting to the firm-wide Advanced Technologies Group.
Key Responsibilities- Offer expert guidance and advice to project teams on the implementation of advanced design technology methodologies.
- Provide constructive feedback on project-related activities to the firmwide Advanced Technologies Group.
- Act as a resource and collaborator throughout all project phases.
- Stay updated on design software, industry trends in integrated practice, and relevant techniques.
- Dedicate time to researching emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the creation of project deliverables as needed.
- Mentor and motivate project team members in utilizing advanced technologies.
- Commit to promoting a sustainable workplace through eco-friendly practices.
- Apply specialized knowledge to perform complex modeling, data management, analysis, and optimization for architectural designs, including building massing and exterior enclosures.
- Conduct specialized design analyses such as pedestrian/egress simulation, sustainable design assessment, or code compliance evaluation.
- Utilize specialized knowledge to create engaging interactive visual experiences across various mediums, including traditional (interactive and 2D video) and XR (AR, MR, VR) technologies.
- Develop interactive visualization content using cutting-edge game engine technology.
- Employ BI tools to analyze and conduct comprehensive assessments of project-related data.
- Advanced proficiency in building information modeling (BIM) software and techniques.
- Expertise in Revit is essential.
- Strong skills in 3D modeling and analysis software, including application configuration.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices, integrated design, and LEED standards.
- Ability to meet deadlines effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Travel may be necessary.
- Reliability security clearance and/or the ability to obtain this clearance is a requirement for this position.
- Overtime may be required.

- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, information technology, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in BIM/3D modeling is necessary.
- LEED accreditation or Green Associate certification is preferred.
