Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist internal stakeholders in drafting corporate documents, including annual compliance changes, incorporations, and amendments.
  • Manage files, track annual maintenance, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Support new client intake, including minute book review and analysis, and drafting ratification documents.
  • Familiarize yourself with relevant corporate legislation, including the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) and Canada Business Corporations Act.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the day-to-day functions of the Corporate Services Department.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant paralegal experience in a corporate services department.
  • CORES Level II Accreditation required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, resourcefulness, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Proficiency in corporate database (ALF), Work 10, Outlook, TEAMS, and Excel.
  • Experience working with corporate records software and datasharing platforms considered an asset.
