About the Role
The Product Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of nautical product plans, focusing on consumer segments and mass retailer needs. This includes building personas of target customers and product objectives, as well as communicating and training sales, customer service, and internal teams on product objectives and customer targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete ranges of nautical products
- Establish and maintain 1- and 3-year product line strategies
- Build personas of target customers, both buyers and end-consumers
- Carry out and present business cases, profitability analyses, and minimum production thresholds
- Draw up specifications for product improvement
- Establish strategy for discontinuing non-performing products
- Manage product development plan on a collaborative basis
- Build product assortment proposals for major customers
- Conduct reviews of product development projects
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with sales, R&D, and marketing teams
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of common tools for product management
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and commercial events
- Support marketing in the development of sales tools and merchandising materials
Marketing Research
- Research and gather general market information
- Research and gather information on competitors
- Evaluate the company's market share
- Maintain in-store audit program
