About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and organized individual to join our culinary team at Barburrito as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety while ensuring efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain quality and consistency
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain kitchen operations
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Repetitive tasks and ability to work under pressure
  • Client focus, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a team
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, youth employment, or Indigenous people
