Job Title: Senior Cost Planning Manager

Job Summary:

Altus Group Limited/Groupe Altus Limitée is seeking a Senior Cost Planning Manager to join our Development Advisory Team in Calgary Office. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the management team to deliver cost consulting services efficiently. Your role will involve providing guidance to a team of consultants, managing client relationships, and driving business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northern Territories.
  • Develop and implement cost planning strategies to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to drive growth.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary technical diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Sciences, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, construction, or project management, with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Construction Consulting or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the local construction industry, including commercial, institutional, multi-family residential, and sector projects.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to drive business development.
