Estimated Salary RangeThe estimated salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Associate Lawyer to join our team in Oshawa and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of all aspects of family law practice, including rules of civil procedure and family law rules.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct case conferences, motions, trials, and other court proceedings
- Prepare and review legal documents, such as contracts, memos, briefs, and correspondence
- Perform legal research using search tools like Westlaw and Canlii
- Docketing in PCLaw for Legal Aid and private client billing
- Assist Senior Partners and other Associates as required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A law degree from a recognized Canadian institution with excellent academic credentials
- At least 5 years of experience in private practice, with a focus on family law
- Proficiency in MS Office, Divorcemate, and PCLaw
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
