At First Student, our Dispatchers play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for dispatching buses, managing routes, and providing exceptional customer service.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of buses to ensure timely and reliable service
• Counsel and coach drivers and monitors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Handle heavy phone and radio traffic, providing clear and concise communication to drivers and customers
• Collaborate with the operations team to resolve scheduling and driver complaints
• Serve as a liaison with major contracted customers, providing solutions to drop-off and pick-up problems
• Perform back-up driver duties or assist with miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed

**Requirements:**

• 3-5 years of experience in transportation or logistics
• Class B License Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
• Previous terminal operations, dispatch, or driver experience
