We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at IWK Health in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide occupational therapy services to children and adolescents with rheumatology conditions.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers to identify goals and develop intervention plans to improve daily activities and quality of life. This position requires strong assessment and evaluation skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to children and adolescents with rheumatology conditions
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client goals and needs
  • Develop and implement intervention plans to improve daily activities and quality of life
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to achieve treatment goals
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a graduate degree from a World Federation of Occupational Therapy (WFOT) approved program and be a licensed member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia. A minimum of two years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist is required, preferably working with children and adolescents.
