Job Summary

Gulzar Transport Alberta Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Ensure the condition of your vehicle is in good working order, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Transport Goods: Load and unload goods, drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the safety and security of cargo.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of your vehicle before and after each trip to ensure it is safe and ready for operation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: On the road job, 40 to 60 hours per week.
