Job Summary

As a key member of the Astellas Pharma Inc. team, the Ethics and Compliance Business Partner will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with laws, regulations, and industry codes. This position will be responsible for delivering strategic business partnerships that ensure the realization of value for patients in an effective, efficient, and sustainable manner.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with leadership to drive a culture of integrity through the use of ethical decision-making frameworks.
  • Identify and respond to compliance inquiries and provide advice and solutions to internal clients in accordance with the company's high ethical and compliance standards.
  • Proactively identify emerging risks and provide insights and feedback to the Lead BP, GET, Risk SMEs, and other members of the E&C team to ensure effective risk mitigation efforts.
  • Maintain, enhance, and continuously improve the Compliance Department in the Affiliate(s) through the implementation of global compliance programs.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a regulatory area (e.g., compliance, finance, quality) within the life sciences industry.
  • Significant program and project management expertise.
  • Strong expertise in compliance with law, regulations, and industry codes relevant to a highly regulated industry.

Experience Working Globally
  • Ideal, preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate-level qualification (B.Sc. / M.Sc. / JD / Ph.D).
