At Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Operations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This is a 12-month part-time contract position that requires the successful candidate to have working knowledge of the rules and regulations affecting payroll.

The Payroll Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, in accordance with statutory compliance and company guidelines. Key responsibilities include processing bi-weekly payrolls for over 500 salaried and hourly employees in a multi-provincial environment, partnering with other departments to provide and receive payroll information, reviewing attendance data and audits for accuracy, and balancing and reconciling payroll totals prior to final transmission.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma program in Accounting, Business Administration, or Human Resources, and must have experience in the payroll field. Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now/Workday and strong computer skills are also essential. Additionally, excellent verbal and written communication skills, both English and French, are required.
