About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work with patients to develop and implement treatment plans that promote health, well-being, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans and develop strategies to improve patient outcomes.
  • Observation and Documentation: Record observations and maintain accurate records of patient progress.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties to support the delivery of patient care services.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement treatment plans that promote health, well-being, and quality of life.
  • Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families on health promotion, injury prevention, and treatment.
  • Implementation and Evaluation: Implement treatment plans and evaluate their effectiveness in promoting patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor's degree and certifications such as Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), CPR, and First Aid.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 22.5 hours per week.
