About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op student to join our Pharmaceutical Partnerships department. As a Co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Senior Manager, Strategic Pharmaceutical Partnerships, and contribute to the creation of strategic healthcare partnerships between Loblaw and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of strategic partnerships between Loblaw and external partners, including pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Pharmacy Services, Digital Health, and Specialty Pharmacy, to understand their business objectives and priorities.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and share learnings with the team.
  • Help identify opportunities to form partnerships that drive mutual value for our organization, our partner organization, and our customers.
  • Measure the performance of existing strategic partnerships and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Working towards a post-secondary education (undergraduate or post-graduate diploma) in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • An interest in one of the following fields: healthcare, digital health, pharmaceutical, medical device, or business development.
  • Intermediate understanding of basic business tools, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong work ethic, as demonstrated through academic achievement, extracurriculars, or paid or volunteer work.
  • Respect for diversity, and able to work with diverse personalities and styles.
