About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Correspondent & Institutional team as a Director, Sales and Business Development. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team focused on driving growth and delivering exceptional partner experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve sales goals and profit targets in alignment with the division's business plan.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the client base and drive revenue growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospects to grow new business opportunities.
  • Manage and support a team that is focused on delivering value-added solutions and reporting that meet and exceed our partners' expectations.
  • Delegate effectively and prudently to ensure all skills and resources are leveraged to the best capacity and provide opportunities for learning and career growth.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to optimize sales and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sales initiatives with broader organizational goals and ensure seamless execution.
Requirements
  • University degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales role with financial and brokerage industry knowledge.
  • Completion of CSC and CPH.
  • Correspondent and Institutional experience dealing with Portfolio Management firms, CIRO & MFDA firms, and other Institutional firms in Canada and the US.
  • Proven relationship management and focus on value-added customer service.
  • Proven experience in sales prospecting and lead development.
  • Demonstrated success in directly leading a high-performing sales team.
  • Experience with establishing KPIs to ensure SLAs are met and exceeded.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information to different audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships both externally and internally.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with the insight to proactively provide solutions to our Correspondent partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to coordinate multiple projects/events simultaneously.
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required, and bilingual skills in French are an asset.
