Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled PACS Clinical Administrator to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Director - Information Systems and Application Support to ensure the ongoing technical and clinical administration of the information systems & software in use in Hospitals in Northwestern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with management and end users to ensure the technical and clinical administration of information systems & software.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the administration of information systems & software.
  • Provide training and support to end users on the use of information systems & software.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of information systems & software.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a health care related field (Diagnostic Imaging) or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Valid registration and membership in good standing with CMRTO.
  • Post-secondary education in health care or technology related field.
  • CAHIMS or CPHIMS certification an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a related field working in a DI department within a large facility.
  • Experience in a hospital/diagnostic environment.
  • Knowledge of hospital and clinic workflow, routines, processes and documentation requirements an asset.
  • Experience in Health Informatics, Computer Science and/or related fields an asset.
  • Technical experience related to the use of information systems in a health care environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of the Diagnostic Imaging department workflow and/or clinical work experience with Sectra PACS, Synapse CV, Powerscribe and Meditech.
