Job Title: PACS Clinical Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PACS Clinical Administrator to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the PACS system, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on the use of PACS.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless integration of PACS with other healthcare systems.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the use of PACS.
  • Monitor and analyze PACS performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a diagnostic imaging department.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with PACS systems and healthcare information systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare staff and patients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CAHIMS or CPHIMS certification.
  • Experience with Sectra PACS, Synapse CV, Powerscribe, and Meditech systems.
  • Knowledge of hospital and clinic workflow, routines, processes, and documentation requirements.
